The mixed media exhibition consists of photographs, videos and sketch diary notes and s art drawings by Afghan-Hazara artists Khadin Ali and Jayce Salloum. The exhibition explores multiple layers of complexity of Afghanistan's life, environment, hope, love, beauty and tribal conflicts in particular in search of the destruction of the colossal 5th century Buddhas of Babiyan Valley in Central Afghanistan in 2001. Khadim Ali and Jayce Salloum travelled from Karachi to Kabul and into Bamiyan Valley. The artists had travelled independently into land of destructions through war, conflicts, tribal rivalries, Taliban invasion and poverty through prolong droughts, the ruined cave sites of the Buddhas, destroyed by the Taliban in March 2001. The exhibition highlights ongoing documentation, the social and political impact through historical context of Hazara people and their future prospect in search of asylum seeker in the West. The exhibition provides excellent documentation about Hazara people in history, in search of humanity, life, good heart, love and peace, brighter future of the young children...
