Blue Mountains, 'Trail Ride'
Melissa Egan is a popular scenic and narrative artist in Australia. Melissa was the finalist artist in AGNSW Sulman Prize, The Portia Geach Memorial Award, The Fleurieu Peninsula Biennale, Tattersall’s Invitation Exhibition and the 2008 Blake Prize. Melissa's 'Nostalgia' is a new solo art exhibition at Richard Martin Art 2010.
The thematic painting of 'Nostalgia' portrays a series of dreamlike stories and fanciful paintings in a particular scenic landscape setting.
The subject matter of Melissa's paintings is further accentuated with whimsical character and well executed in theatrical strategies as seen in early days of European master painters.
This is a popular exhibition not to miss. The paintings are nearly sold out.
